Continue Waiting? Error Screen - Unable to Return to Lobby (AGAIN)

Description of Issue: After experiencing a server outage, the game failed to finalize the run results and return to the lobby. A "Continue Waiting?" prompt appeared warning that returning to the lobby would forfeit all items and progress from the run. After launching the game multiple times, and repeatedly pressing continue, the issue is not resolving on its own.

Rough Date and Time of Issue: May 26 2026 @ 1:20PM PST

Repro Steps:

  1. Server Outage
  2. Re-launch game, "Continue Waiting?" prompt appears.
  3. ............................................continue..................waiting............................continue.........................waiting....................................................................................................continue...............................waiting.....................................
  4. Run does not finalize regardless of waiting. (I dont want to return to lobby and lose my gold loot.)

    We understand your gear was not refunded after maintenance ended. We're sorry to hear of this. We have taken note of your report and will be sure to investigate what's caused this on our end. Your understanding concerning this incident is appreciated.

    If you are still having server outages, outside of the ones that occurred in the morning, to help mitigate the connectivity issues you may be facing, we'd recommend giving our Basic Network Troubleshooting and Advanced Network Troubleshooting Guides a go.

    HOLY automated response. Just return the loot. Please just look at the logs to the last items taken in and return them. Y'all got a DATABASE for a reason. Destiny 2 is gone now. Gather those folks up and lock in twin.
