The game is running poorly

I turned on the game as usual, but it didn't open. The game window appeared, but nothing else happened. The task manager didn't show any "Not Responding" messages, indicating that the game was running but not opening or launching. I tried closing the game in the task manager and reopening it, but the issue persisted. Eventually, I decided to restart my computer. After that, the game started to run, but now my fps has steadily dropped by 20-30 fps in all locations and an input lag has appeared. The game started working very poorly. Reinstalling the game did not help. My friend had the same problem a month ago. Despite the fact that the characteristics of his computer are many times better than mine.

Nothing has changed in the game's settings. Just yesterday, I was playing the game smoothly, but today, it's unplayable

Bungie Account Name - 555#2260
Platform - Steam
Rough Date and Time of issue - 05.25.26 ~11:00 PM
Repro steps:
1. I launched the game in Steam using the Play button.
2. The game window opened, but the game didn't load further. It was just a black screen.
3. The task manager showed that the process wasn't "frozen," but it was actually frozen.
4. I restarted my PC.
5. I repeated step 1.
6. The game started, but the FPS dropped significantly (~20-30) and there was input lag. There didn't seem to be any changes in the game menu. Drawdowns appear as soon as you load onto any map.
LINKS - Unfortunately, I don't have any recording of the entire process, as I didn't know it would happen. If I could send you the game logs, I would.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the detailed report.

Since reinstalling did not help, please try the following:

    • Make sure Windows is fully updated, then restart your PC.

    • Update your graphics driver to the latest stable version, then reboot again.

    • Check that the game is running on your dedicated GPU and not an integrated GPU.

    • Turn VSync off and test the game again.

    • Fully close or disable any overlays/background capture tools before launching the game again, such as Steam Overlay, Discord overlay, GeForce, or similar utilities.

If the issue still happens after that, please send a short video showing the FPS drop and input lag along with your DxDiag so we can take a closer look. You can copy and paste your DxDiag over on PasteBin and provide us with the link. Please use your platform's capture button to take the video. You can upload the footage to a public video hosting site, like YouTube, then post the link here and we’ll be glad to take a look.
