Need help Marathon locked at 4FPS regardless of graphics settings (RTX 4050 laptop GPU)

My system: 

GPU: RTX 4050 laptop 

CPU AMD Ryzen 7 7445HS w/Radeon 740M graphics 

Ram: 16 GB 

Windows 11 

My issue: Marathon is stuck at around 2-4 FPS at all times regardless of graphic settings or resolution. other games run normally at 40 to 50 FPS, so the issue appears to only affect this game for the past 5 days. 

Trouble shooting attempted: 

Reinstalled game, Verified game files, lowered graphics settings, Cleared shader cache, Deleted config files, Updated NVIDIA drivers, Forced DX11/DX12,Changed display modes, and Set high performance GPU in Windows/NVIDIA settings 

Result: FPS remains locked at 4 consistently with no improvement
