Bungie Answered
code: grapefruit
I am an IT professional and I manage IT infrastructure. I am confident that my network connection was completely stable and working properly.
10 seconds before extraction, the game movement partially froze. The in-game voice chat was still working, and many other functions were fine, but I couldn’t move my character at all. I was then disconnected from the match. One of the error messages showed the code “grapefruit”. When I reconnected, I had already lost all my gear.
I don’t think this is fair, because it’s clear the problem was not on my side : voice chat and many other features were still functioning normally.

Hello there,
Thank you very much for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear that you received this error code in the game and that you've lost your gear because of it. While we are unable to refund gear that isn't automatically refunded from the game under some connectivity scenarios, we can confirm that we are actively tracking this particular error code and will continue to investigate the issue.
While we continue to investigate the issue, while you may have attempted all of these, I'll link our Basic Network Troubleshooting and Advanced Network Troubleshooting Guides, in case there's anything in there that may help mitigate this from occurring.
However, there is a fundamental issue that needs to be understood.
On the server side, a desynchronization error likely occurred. I was disconnected from the match, the extraction timer ran out while I was disconnected, and only then did I reconnect. From the server’s perspective: “Okay, he was disconnected, now he’s back in the session: he lost.”
Of course, the system automatically treated it as a loss and did not return my gear. I believe this is fundamentally wrong.
