    Hello there,

Thank you very much for reaching out to us.

Because reinstalling and deleting config files didn’t help with resolving the issue, please try the following:

    • Verify the game file integrity through steam to see if it helps.
    • Please ensure that all of your drivers, windows, and your BIOS are all fully up-to-date.
    • If you use a Focusrite/Scarlett or other external audio interface, try launching the game with it disconnected, or disable the Focusrite USB MIDI driver and test again.
    • If you’re on NVIDIA, restore graphics settings to default and turn off DLSS Frame Generation if it’s enabled.
    • Check whether anything changed in the last week, such as a Windows update, GPU driver update, or new audio driver or device.

If you still run into the same issue despite all of this, can you provide us with a copy of your DxDiag? You can copy and paste it over on PasteBin and provide us with the link.

  • verified all of  that

  • Hi again,

    Thanks for sending the DxDiag.

We noticed software on the PC that can conflict with BattlEye, including Cheat Engine-related files.

This does not mean it was used with Marathon, but software like this can still cause problems with launching or signing in. To rule that out, please remove it completely and test the game again.

    Please try the following:

    • Uninstall Cheat Engine completely.

    • Make sure it is not still running in the background or set to start with Windows.

    • Restart the PC after uninstalling it.

    • For the next test, disconnect or disable extra devices and software that are not needed, especially capture devices, virtual cameras or displays, streaming devices, and external audio devices.

    • Since this started in the last week, it may also help to reinstall or roll back the AMD graphics driver before testing again.

After that, please launch the game again and let us know if the black screen after signing in still happens.
