Controller not being recognized
After trying to log on this morning, my controller cannot be recognized. I have tried disabling, enabling, restarting, using different ports and nothings working. I have tried steam controller enable, disable and nothing is working. I have also checked firmware and no update is available.
Please advise.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out.
Since you’ve already tried restarting, changing ports, toggling Steam controller settings, and checking for firmware updates, the next things I’d recommend are:
If the controller still is not recognized after that, please let us know:
My pc does not support Bluetooth but all these other methods have just been tried and with no success. Firmware check has been done 10x to ensure it was updated, nothing.
here are some errors im getting on battle eye, idk if it correlates:

Information requested:
- Elite series 2, model #1797
- Wired with the wire it came with
- Steam detects my controller when i disconnect and connect in the bottom right hand corner and when going through settings
- The controller works in apex and all other games i use controller in
- It is not a steam controller.
Hi there,
Thanks for the additional details.
At this point, we recommend trying the following:
If you still run into the same issue despite all of this, can you provide us with a copy of your DxDiag? You can copy and paste it over on PasteBin and provide us with the link.
I have tried all these so here is the pastebin of my dxdiag: file:///C:/Users/MatFB/Desktop/DxDiag_Bungie.txt
I would really like to play this week and weekend for Cryo, I have been out of town every weekend since April 15th for the military and just want to get some Cryo in lol. I would really appreciate it if we can find a fix.
Thank you
I have a feeling its because battleye is blocking my input, the Xinput1_4. I have no idea why, I'm not cheating, never have in any game and i don't have anything weird downloaded either. I also would not be contacting you guys if i was cheating.
Hi there,
There isn't a working link for your PasteBin in your post.
Please use these steps:
1. Press (Windows Key + R) to bring up the Run dialog box, enter this command “dxdiag” without quotation marks.
2. Click on “Save all information”.
3. Copy the text and use a text dump website (i.e. PasteBin.com) to paste the information. Please don't use Google Drive.
4. Create a link and post it here.
Sorry about that, here is the pastebin link

Please advise
Hi there,
Thanks for sending in your DxDiag.
Since Steam detects the controller, it works in other games, and it appears in your DxDiag, this does not look like a controller hardware failure. This looks more like a PC-specific Windows, driver, or XInput issue affecting Marathon.
The main things I’d suggest trying next are:
Free up space on the C: drive first. It is nearly full, which can cause Windows or game component issues.
Install the latest Windows updates, including any Optional Updates.
Install the latest motherboard, chipset, and USB drivers from the system or motherboard manufacturer support page.
Opt into the Steam Client Beta, fully exit Steam, relaunch it, and test again. This is worth trying because Steam has previously had XInput-related client issues, and beta builds can include fixes before they reach the main release.
Reinstall BattlEye as a cleanup step. It could help if the anti-cheat install is corrupted, but I would treat this as a lower-probability fix.
If Armoury Crate or SteelSeries GG/Sonar are still installed, fully close them or temporarily uninstall them before testing again.
Try a clean boot so Marathon launches with only Microsoft services and essential startup items running.
If needed, uninstall the Xbox controller device in Device Manager, reboot, and reconnect the controller wired.
