Controller Mapping Bug: Right Joystick Click-In Will Not Zoom

When I map zoom / ADS right joy-stick click-in (akin to halo settings) it simply will not work, regardless of type of binding (tap, press, double tap, hold). Maybe I'm doing something silly, as this is such a simple mapping you would expect to just work. Perhaps the nature of the right joy stick click in precludes it from being used as zoom / ADS, as it takes some time and isn't a near-instantaneous action.

Honestly, when I first started playing, this was a huge detractor and almost made me quit (alas I've gotten by with left trigger for ADS and am still loving things; I'd just like to have consistent button mapping btwn Halo and Marathon).

Bug aside, I would like to strongly, strongly urge Bungie to release a practice mode where new users can simply test out their settings. It was incredibly frustrating trying to get settings right and just dying for the first handful of games I played. The game is great, but make it make sense.

    Please provide the following details to add to your report:

    • Your Platform
    • The approximate date and time of when this happened
    • The make and model of the controller that you are using
    • Does this happen every time that you try to zoom?
    • Which input behavior you selected? (tap/press/double tap/hold)
    • A screenshot of your control settings
    • A short video showing your controller settings with Zoom bound to Right Stick Click (R3), then showing the issue in gameplay?

    Please use your platform's capture button to take a video. You can upload the footage to a public video hosting site, like YouTube, then post the link here and we’ll be glad to take a look. 

    As for your suggesting for the practice mode, the best place to share it is on the Marathon Discord rather than our Help Forums. If you haven't already done so, please share your feedback and suggestions there.

    Hi,

    To answer your questions:

    -PC (steam)

    -this happens all the time (every moment of every day I try it)

    -Microsoft - Xbox Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller

    -Yes, this happens every time. Zoom with right joy stick simply doesn't work (everything else about right zoom works; e.g. deploying equipment with right stick double click works).

    -This happens with all input behaviors (tap, press, double tap, hold).

    -I will try to get a video uploaded at some point but all I can describe right now is that literally nothing happens when the joystick is pressed in.

    Maybe I can try a different controller here shortly.... (again would be much nicer if there was a practice mode. I mean literally everyone is asking for it: https://discord.com/channels/1303855380845301861/1478943859231821876/1503947479383670814)
