Unable to move after pressing shift

This has been an issue since monday, Im linking the posts from there that I have made.

Responses are super slow and I am unable to play both games properly. Hoping to get more responses here.

This seems to be similar to what I am experiencing and this was made over TWO MONTHS AGO, im hoping at least SOME progress has been made since this is making gameplay impossible after pressing the DEFAULT sprint key.

Just looking for any more help since this happened while playing destiny and somehow when loading up Marathon the same issue is happening here without even being on the game??

    Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out and for reporting this.

    Could you try the following to see if it resolves the issue: 

    • Change Sprint to another key

      • Change Sprint from Shift to something else (e.g., Left Ctrl).

    • Unplug extra devices

      • Unplug any controllers/other input devices; leave only keyboard + mouse.

    • Disable overlays & reboot

      • Temporarily disable Steam/Discord/Nvidia/Xbox overlays, reboot, then test.

    • Try another keyboard (if you have one)

      • Test with a different keyboard if available.

    If the above steps don't help, please provide the following details to add to your report:

    • What are your PC specs? Windows version (Windows 10/11 + build, if you know it), CPU, GPU, RAM, and if it is a Laptop or desktop?
    • What is your Keyboard brand + exact model:
    • Do you have any input devices connected when playing Marathon? (controller, HOTAS, wheel, tablet, etc.):
    • Windows keyboard layout & language (e.g., English (US), English (UK), German, etc.):
    • Any key-remap / macro tools running?
      • (Razer Synapse, Logitech G Hub, Corsair iCUE, SteelSeries, AutoHotkey, etc.)
    • Any overlays active while you play?
      • (Steam overlay, Discord overlay, Nvidia overlay, Xbox Game Bar, MSI Afterburner, etc.)
    • A screenshot of your Keyboard/Mouse settings for Marathon
    • Have you changed these keybinds recently and then set them back to default? If yes, what did you change?

    • A short video, that shows the following:

      • Show the Marathon keybinds screen with Sprint bound to Shift.
      • Load into a run.
      • Show your key presses (if you have a key overlay) while:
        • Moving with WASD
        • Pressing Shift to sprint
        • Then trying to move again when it fails.

    Please use your platform's capture button to take a video. You can upload the footage to a public video hosting site, like YouTube, then post the link here and we’ll be glad to take a look.

    Regarding the top part I have tried all of those and nothing works.

    heres a pastebin with my specs that the destiny side had me upload

    keyboard is razer blackwidow mini hyperspeed

    nothing else is plugged in when playing

    no macros up and running when on game

    ive turned off overlays when playing both games and the issue still persists

    here is the video requested (when I am looking down in the video I am holding down WASD and you can see sliding in their respected keybind movements)

     

    finally no I have not changed any keybinds, I hadnt opened the game in about a week and after the initial issue popped up on destiny I tried to play this game and the same thing happened right after opening the game

    I appreciate the follow up, but this doesnt give much hope since this is what you told the other people with the issue 2 months ago. Has there been any progress made in this issue given that timeline? Im quite literally unable to play 2 different bungie games and this issue didnt even start on this game for me I just opened it up after it happened on destiny and had the same problem
