Requesting gear refund. Marathon Servers Unavailable
I loaded into a trio match on Perimeter. After a few minutes of gameplay, I was abruptly disconnected from the game and shown a screen saying that Marathon's Servers were unavailable. I restarted Marathon, and was given the same screen. After trying to log back in a few times, and getting the same screen, I managed to log back in and was dropped back into the match solo, with no sign of my teammates.
If servers become unavailable, I shouldn't be dropped in as a solo in a trio match when the servers come back. That seems like an obvious bug.

Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out and reporting this issue.
We’re not able to restore items or progress lost due to disconnects, lag, or other connection issues. In cases where a qualifying server‑side error happens, any refunds that can be offered are handled automatically by the game systems, not manually through support.
In the event that an error occurs with Bungie’s server or network infrastructure, connection recovery may not be possible. We will attempt to ensure that any players affected by a server error will have their starting gear returned to them.
Note: Gear refund only applies to a subset of server error conditions, and will not cover gameplay losses due to Internet connectivity or client-side problems.
The error screen specifically said that the servers were unavailable. Where will I look for these refunds?
Also why don't you refund us for any connection problems?
