bug without any alert, silent bug: can not add more than 20 contacts within marathon

if I add more than 20 contacts, even if everyone accepts the invite, on next restart I have only 20 oldest contacts. My contact numbers were never higher than 20.
I don't believe that EVERY SINGLE person after 20th contact deletes me.
Is it restriction? is it silent bug? Why is there no info about it?

As recent player list is RESET AFTER EACH RESTART, I don't even know whom I lost.

    Could you provide a few more details to add to your report?

    • Your Platform
    • The approximate date and time of when this last happened
    • How did you add contacts? (from Recent Players, Search, platform friends, crewmates, etc.)
    • About how many did you add in that session before restarting?
    • Did you see all >20 contacts in the list before restarting?
    • After restarting the game, how many contacts show?
    • Are they always the same oldest 20?
    • Do any of the “missing” contacts still see them as a contact on their side?
    • Screenshots or a short video showing:
    1. Contact list with >20 entries before restarting.
    2. Contact list showing only 20 after restarting.

    Platform: steam yesterday 09.04.2026 baout 20:00 - 24:00 CET. 1 contact was added by me through marathon by bungie ID search AND once I was added too, as I was found though bungie ID search. I added 2 more contacts in last sessions. I am not sure If I have seen list becoming higher than 20. after restart it shows now only 20 contacts. I am 99% sure this are same 20 oldest. I CAN NOT contact missing contact, because game has no Steam API integration: Steam shows no list of recent players you played with. I relied on Marathon internal system. I absolutely have no Idea how much contacts I lost.
