Freezing since patch

every time I encounter players today the frame rate instantly dips to 0 for 3-4 seconds after they shoot a single bullet at me. it's costing me every single match.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the game stability when trying to play the game. To start out, if you are on PC, we'd recommend trying the following:
- Make sure your GPU drivers, BIOS and are fully up to date.
- In Settings → Video, enable Frame Rate Cap and set it to something below your average FPS (for example 60–90) rather than uncapped.
- Temporarily turn off DLSS/FSR/Frame Generation and any third-party overlays (Discord, Steam, GeForce Experience, Rivatuner, etc.).
- Close other heavy background apps and, if possible, install/run the game from an SSD.
- Verify game files through your launcher.
  
  If you are on console, please try the following:
- Fully power-cycle the console (shutdown, unplug for 60 seconds, restart).
- If it keeps happening, try reinstalling the game.
