Thief Assassin
I have encountered two thief shells now that have used the assassin smoke ability. The first one i killed, but this last one got me with a knife. Is this a bug, or an exploit, and do i need to report anything about this?

So, I have not run into a thief again that has produced the smoke ability. However, I ran into a Recon today that produced nearly the identical effect as I downed them. At the moment just before i downed them you can see an object trailing from them that becomes visible in the frame at just over the 15 second mark, curving towards the building next to me. When i turn around after finishing the Recon i see the smoke and get a little confused as it obviously takes the characteristics from the assassins smoke with a dome shape. I'm thinking this must be the same utilization that the previous thieves i encountered used. https://youtu.be/rMBtT1TkkfU

Only players using the Assassin shell should be creating that dome‑shaped smoke field. Seeing something that looks like Assassin smoke appear after a Recon goes down, and away from their body, isn’t expected. Given what you’ve described (and what’s visible around the 30s mark in your clip), this looks much more like a smoke or visual bug than any kind of intentional exploit.
We’re already tracking a few smoke‑related issues, so I’ll make sure your report and video get passed along to the team as another example.
