Servers not available s:1:817B1100

Was almost at Cryo that i go loged out and when i wanted to get back to the game i got the servers not available error, and lost everything 😭 can i at least have the stuff i took with me back? :((( I cant post pic of the error and inverntory but this was the error s:1:817B1100

    Thank you for reaching out and for reporting this.

    Could you provide a few more details to add to your report?

    • The approximate date and time and time zone of when this happened
    • Any screenshots or videos of the exact error code or message that appeared on screen

    You can upload the footage to a public video hosting site, like YouTube, then post the link here and we’ll be glad to take a look.

    I was playing in crypto archive and I was walking to the exfill with an insane amount of loot but then my game logged out saying that marathon servers are not available with the error code s:1:817B1100 I started the round at around 22:25 CET and I couldn’t log back in and lost all of my loot please at least just return the loot I had on me

    Hi there,

    S:1:817B1100 is a disconnect error. It means the client lost connection to the Marathon servers (temporary server issue or a network problem on the path), and the session was ended with that code.

    You can try the following, if it occurs again:

    • Check server status/announcements
      Make sure there isn’t maintenance or a known outage happening.

    • Restart everything

      • Close the game and your platform app (Steam/Epic/etc.).
      • Reboot your PC/console and your router or modem.
      • Launch the game again and try reconnecting.

    • Check your network

      • If possible, use a wired (Ethernet) connection instead of Wi-Fi.
      • Turn off VPNs or proxies and try again.

    We’re not able to restore items or progress lost due to disconnects, lag, or other connection issues. In cases where a qualifying server‑side error happens, any refunds that can be offered are handled automatically by the game systems, not manually through support.

    In the event that an error occurs with Bungie’s server or network infrastructure, connection recovery may not be possible. We will attempt to ensure that any players affected by a server error will have their starting gear returned to them. 

    Note: Gear refund only applies to a subset of server error conditions, and will not cover gameplay losses due to Internet connectivity or client-side problems.
