Thief X-Ray Visor disables shooting

Fifth time this has happened to me, usually resulting in me dying. I put on the visor, and I can't shoot or attack at all until I've swapped weapons. Many times I've activated my visor, swung out of a corner, and just died. Pretty frustrating. I have no idea what causes it. Usually happens in the middle of a fight, probably something with reloading or taking damage. Last time it happened on perimeter.

- Does it happen while you’re reloading, mid-swap, or taking damage right as you turn visor on?
- Are any specific weapon types are involved?
- A short video showing: activate visor → try to shoot → nothing happens until you swap weapons.
