Cannot get past sigh-in screen on PS5

On PS5 … been playing the game for a couple of weeks and after the 31 of March update the game doesn’t let me sign in, remaining stuck in the screen forever without error message of any sort. I’ve already tried to switch between wired and wifi, restart the router, clear ps5 cache and rebuild database, deleted and game and re-downloaded, restart ps5 and sign off and back in into PSN. Never had this kind of problem on a PS5 game.. not sure what else is left to try? Please help …

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Could you try the following troubleshooting steps:

    • Power your PS5 fully off (not Rest Mode), wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Launch Marathon again and try signing in.
    • Check PlayStation Network Service Status for your region. Also check marathonthegame.com or Bungie Help social channels for any ongoing outage info.
    • Sign-out and Sign-in on PS5: On PS5: Settings → Users and Accounts → Sign Out. Reboot the console, sign back into your PSN account, then start Marathon.
    • Restore Licenses by going to Settings → Users and Accounts → Other → Restore Licenses → Try again.

    • Power-cycle your modem or router (unplug 30–60 seconds, plug back in). Once internet is back, test another online game to confirm it connects, then try Marathon again.
    • Try another network (if possible) and also try using a wired connection if using Wi-Fi.

If the above steps didn't help please try the following:

    • Manually set DNS

      • Settings → Network → Settings → Set Up Internet Connection → pick current network → Advanced Settings.
      • Set DNS Settings to Manual:
        • Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
        • Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4
      • Save, reboot PS5, try again.
    • UPnP / Port considerations

      • If you are comfortable logging into your router, make sure UPnP is enabled.
  • I have the same problem on pc

  • Thank you for the detailed message. I tried everything on the list, except accessing the router Upnp settings (I don’t have access to to that atm)

I also tried other 2 online games and they work fine..

Not sure what else to do? :(

  • Thank you.
If it helps also forgot to mention that my account is European but I’m playing from Japan.
