Signing In, until the end of time

Hello, last time today when I was able to play the game was in the early morning hours. Around 2am to 4am maybe. But after hopping back on at 8am, I was faced with a dark screen and "Signing In..." on the bottom right. In order to solve this issue I have attempted.

  • Rebooting the game.
  • Switching game location between drives.
  • Verified game files.
  • Reinstalling Battleye.
  • Reinstalling the game.
  • Power cycling my network.
  • Restarted PC multiple times.
  • Closed all additional background processes.
  • Disabled all VPNs and Proxies that I know of.
  • Signing in with VPN turned on with Port Forwarding through PIA.
  • Updating drivers.
  • Logged onto my Bungie.net account on browser with Steam sign-in, and then attempted to launch the game.
  • Whitelisted / Allowed Marathon through firewall.

My network is functional, as I am able to play other online games without an issue. But I have had problems in Destiny, and Destiny 2 with NAT type.
I once got through, and into the game. By restarting my router whilst in the "Signing In..." screen. I was even able to join a friend and we got into matchmaking. But was the faced with "Error Code Marionberry." after getting kicked back in the title screen.
I find this situation annoying, as I do have 95+ hours in the game before I had any issues.

    So Bungie, pls help.

  • Hello there,

Thank you very much for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues getting into the game. While we did indeed have some maintenance today, it should have long since concluded. It appears that extensive troubleshooting has already been attempted, but in case there's something in our documentation that you've missed, I've included links to the Help Article for this error code, our Basic Network Troubleshooting, and Advanced Network Troubleshooting Guides.

We've also gone ahead and taken note of this thread and will continue monitoring any issues that may be causing this to occur. If all of those fail, we'd also recommend reaching out to your Internet Service Provider to see if there's any additional troubleshooting they may be able to provide while we continue to monitor any underlying issues.

  • I have the same problem, but ps5. Cleared console cache and rebooted router, tried different networks. Nothing works. Other games work fine.
