FIX TO WEASEL ERROR! DEVS PLEASE MAKE ANNOUNCEMENT
Alright. I really wish I tried this sooner. Bungie devs, PLEASE make a post about this on Twitter and Discord. Your support articles do not mention what actually fixed the "weasel" error for me. I tried everything. Port forwarding, reinstalling the game, enabling UPnP, disabling my routers security shield, etc. etc. I've been waiting for three weeks now for you guys to make some sort of announcement on what to do. This is apparently what we need to do. So please, make an announcement. There were many people who refunded the game and would be happy to know how to fix it and would happily buy it back.
A lot of players said that a Windows reinstall is the only thing that worked for them. However, I did not want to do this, so I did a soft-wipe by going to Settings > System > Recovery > Fix problems using Windows Update. This keeps all files and programs but reinstalls the core operating system to my understanding. Immediately, the game now works. Not getting kicked after 60 seconds of sitting at the main menu.
Please do what is right and make an announcement about this fix.
