Audio issues

I’m using wired headphones and have a good gaming laptop with minimal frame drops or other issues but after a few matches my audio starts getting glitchy. It starts cutting out randomly and sounds very compressed at times. As I said it only happens after a bit but it gets so bad that its unplayable.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out.

While it may be possible to play on certain laptop configurations, we do not officially support them per our Marathon Storage and System Requirements guide.  Because of that, issues like audio cutting out or degrading over time on laptop audio are outside what we can reliably troubleshoot or guarantee a fix for.

We can recommend that you try some basic PC audio troubleshooting steps:

    • update your audio drivers from your OEM
    • Disable spatial or enhancement effects
    • Force your headphones to be the default output
    • Play Marathon while plugged in on a high-performance power plan
