Low FPS

Hello Bungie team,

I would like to share some feedback regarding performance in Marathon.

I have been waiting for this game for about a year and was really excited for its release. I genuinely enjoy its style, atmosphere, and core gameplay - it’s clear a lot of effort went into creating a unique experience, and I truly want to spend more time playing it.

However, my current experience is quite frustrating due to low and unstable FPS.

My PC specifications are:

CPU: Intel Core i5-7600K (4 cores / 4 threads, 3.8-4.0 GHz)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
RAM: 16 GB DDR4

I understand that my hardware is not new and I’m not expecting ultra settings or extremely high FPS. But even on the lowest settings, I am getting around 20-30 FPS, with drops during combat that make the game feel very unresponsive. Aiming and movement become difficult, and it directly affects my ability to enjoy and compete in the game.

Based on the minimum system requirements, I was hoping to achieve at least a stable experience on low or even medium settings. Right now, it feels like something is off, and I’ve also seen other players reporting similar issues.

I really want to keep playing Marathon - I like the game a lot - but in its current state it’s hard to enjoy it properly. Since the game has just been released, I would really appreciate it if optimization improvements could come as soon as possible, so players like me can fully experience and explore the game while it’s still new.
