Inconsistent Rutabaga Error during matches on Marathon

Finally managed to get a friend of mine to hop on Marathon since Duos are now an option, and the first day we played, it was fine with absolutely no errors, and only had his game Disconnect from servers a single time. However, today he got kicked nearly every 2 minutes. The game runs smooth for a while but then will suddenly boot him back to the title screen with code Rutabaga. We've tried doing everything we could collectively think of, turning down his settings, adjusting performance pieces, updated his drivers, and deleted half of his library off his hard drive. Is there any specific reason for this? Or is he just forced to upgrade his PC before he can play?

    Error code: Rutabaga occurs when Marathon performance drops below sustainable thresholds. 

    Can you please have your friend try the following troubleshooting steps:

    • Please ensure that no other applications are running in the background, and relaunch Marathon
    • Verify that both their PC operating system and GPU firmware are up to date
