Frozen on boot up
I’m having this issue on PC where the screen gets frozen on the gray boot up screen. I never had issues with this initially playing marathon but over the last week. I have continuously had this issue to the point to where I can’t even play the game because it will not boot up. I have tried all my other games and they work without any issues. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I have also tried to troubleshoot it with every known option that I seen online. Nothing has worked. I have been enjoying the game greatly and to not be able to play it at this point is very upsetting. Is there anything we can do to fix this issue?

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry to hear of this frustrating issue you're dealing with.
Based on what you've said, have you by chance installed a new driver version recently? We ask because there's a good chance this may be at the root of the issue. To that point, we recommend you first try reinstalling your latest driver version. If that doesn't help, you could also try installing a previous version that worked better, if you're comfortable doing so.
Hello
The fix I came up with: Updating your BIOS (from mobo manufacturers website via flash drive) and Intel Management Engine (also from mobo manufacturers website and NOT from intel website)
After that I suggest also: Go to the location where your game is installed, for me its C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Marathon\battleye
Right click on Uninstall_BattlEye -> Run as Administrator -> uninstall it
Then Right click on Install_BattlEye -> Run as Administrator -> install it
You can also just delete the insides of this folder and game/steam will redownload it back.
Also make sure are your firmware is updated. Fully. Every possible driver.
If that doesnt work then I am out of ideas and this probably needs official fix.
Tommy.
