PS5 Approx 8:25 PM ET I got a 'Can't contact Servers', disconnected from my Team went back to lobby and lost my gear

Similar to the suggested post above, at Approx 8:25 PM ET I got a 'Can't contact Servers', disconnected from my Team went back to lobby and lost my gear.
This was not an Internet issue as my son in the same home was still connected (and part of my team).  He and our 3rd loaded into Dire Marsh just fine.
Our Playstation chat group remained intact as well throughout.
I lost a full loadout of 2 weapons and various equipment and consumables.

  • Hello and thank you for the reply.
    As stated, this was clearly not a network/internet issue as one of the other players on my team was also in my same home and our voice chat (PSN chat)  never disconnected etc.
    The PlayStation 5 'game' app' did not crash or anything like that either.  I simply was disconnected from the team deployment to Dire Marsh, selected 'Continue waiting' twice, then pressed 'Return to Lobby'.
    Back in the lobby I was still a member of the team party but they were still deployed.  That's also when I noticed all my gear was gone.
