Dying with a quest item now breaks a quest

This is happening on two separate quests for me right now, a Mida quest and a Nucaloric quest.

For Mida - It's the one where you need to grab chem grenades from a box in Maintenance and use them to destroy things at AI Uplink. I died the first time trying this after getting the Chem Grenades, and now every single run I try in Dire Marsh for this quest - I cannot interact with the Chem Grenade box at all. The yellow Quest icon hovers above it, but I can't interact with it and on the top-right of the screen it shows that I've already completed Step One. But I have no Chem Grenades. I know this is a "Contested" quest, but its definitely not a case of someone else beating me to it as on one of my latest runs I spawned right in Maintenance at the beginning and ran directly to the box and had the same issue.

Since this was bugged, I swapped to my Nucaloric quest where I need to grab a  Biosample, analyze it, then exfil. I died on my way to exfil, and just like the other quest - I can no longer interact at all with the Biosample location in Step One. The quest icon is still there, but it doesn't work at all, and it says I've completed Step One.

I'm assuming this is the case for every quest where you need to pick something up now.

To answer some of the Bug Reporting Guide questions:

I am on Steam, playing on PC.

I noticed this issue only today.

I did several runs of each quest and had this issue every single time (5+ runs for each quest)

    Hi there,

    Thank you for the report.

We are aware of players reporting issues with both of these contracts and are investigating to resolve both issues as soon as possible.

  • thats been my issue, glad to see its not just me having the issue

  • This happened to myself and my friend today. We will have to bring some chem grenades into Dire to finish this quest as a workaround.
