I get a squirrel error when I log into the game. How do I fix this?
I was just playing a game with friends and I got kicked out to the main menu. When I tried to re-enter, I got this error. I bought the deluxe edition and have played almost 50 hours of the game.

Squirrel errors usually indicate that players are either not signed in correctly with their platform account of choice, or their platform services are undergoing maintenance. For more information, please consult this page.
If the errors persist into a time where your platform does not appear to be undergoing maintenance and you've signed out and back in to your account, please let us know.
I did everything as written. I play on PC through Steam. The error remains.
It's been over 14 hours since the error occurred, and I've done everything I could. Steam support provides links to the game's support page.
