Reduce fall damage & Remove fall flinch

This is not a bug, this is me seeking a place to give feedback. This game is amazing but there's a lot of barriers to making combat too punishing. I feel as though the fall damage is way too punishing given the distance it takes to take fall damage. We're in a futuristic future with people who can double jump and go invis. I don't think falling 7ft should break your shields and hit your health. Also, the flinch from falling and trying to aim for a fight is insane. Having severe fall damage, making slide fill up half your heat, flinching when you fall while aiming (anything above like 4ft) all make it very difficult to play any other playstyle than rat. The current speed of combat encourages players to crouch walk everywhere, sit on buildings, and play for jumps rather than actual engagements. High heat generation from movement, high/punishing fall damage, and fall flinching all put up massive barriers to be able to make any play. Most gunfights come down to who shoots/sees the other player first and who has the better gun. Some adjustments should be made to allow for other win conditions, not just that one playstyle. Every run I've failed so far has been a direct result of being killed by stationary players and me not having the ability to escape and fight back simultaneously due to being punished by the movement system.
TLDR
Free up the movement system more and make it less punishing to allow for playstyles other than crouching in a corner praying on people who physically cant react due to the movement being punishing. I know you can do it, I have 10k hours in Destiny across the board, don't go to D2 levels but definitely improve what exists more.
