Introducing: Sekiguchi mission "Scan your Shell in Southeastern Orientation" glitch
Has anyone else had issues with this step of the mission?
The waypoint appears on the scanner and I step into the marked area, but nothing happens. I’ve tried it three times now and the scan never triggers.
It’s getting extremely frustrating because I just can’t progress past this point. On top of that, the mission is already very difficult to complete solo, so having it glitch like this makes it even worse.
Has anyone found a workaround, or is this a known bug?

If this happens again, could you please try to capture a brief video that shows the issue you're experiencing with the shell scanning? You can upload the footage to a public video hosting site, like YouTube, then post the link here and we’ll be glad to take a look.
I am having this same problem. Tried in two different games and both times would not let me scan. Painful because of how hard it is for me to play this map :(
