Server crashed around 8.30 pm (utc+2)
Game disconnected both me and my friend on Steam. Heard this happened at the same time with other people on Playstation and Xbox too. I kept waiting to reconnect but eventually the game just said I was eliminated and I lost all my stuff.

We're sorry to hear about this issue.
In the event that an error occurs with Bungie’s server or network infrastructure, connection recovery may not be possible. We will attempt to ensure that any players affected by a server error will have their starting gear returned to them.
Note: Gear refund only applies to a subset of server error conditions, and will not cover gameplay losses due to Internet connectivity or client-side problems.

Next match my friend disconnected again, I however did not. He thankfully gets back and we get to exfil, when the exfil timer hits zero we just drop dead while the extraction animation is going on and the game says we got eliminated.
same happened to me, lost all of our loot at the final outpost extract literally 1 meter and 8 seconds from extract
