Can't link a new Twitch account due to having deleted the already linked one without unlinking it

Rough Date and Time of issue - The account was deleted roughly a year ago or so
Repro steps - Account settings, connections, unlink twitch account, get "ErrorCannotLoadLinkedCredential"

I used to have a Twitch account that was linked to my Bungie account
I had that old Twitch account deleted a bit ago, and forgot to unlink it from my Bungie account
I can't link my new account to my Bungie account, since it is already linked to a nonexistant account!
I have spoken to Twitch support and they weren't able to help; We tried unlinking through an incognito browser, no extensions, force recache what have you, the representative "performed some changes regarding your accounts connections" and it still didn't work, all concluding with the error message:
Authentication Error
Unlinking has failed because you signed into a different external account than the one you have linked. We cannot unlink your external account unless you sign into the correct account.
Then according to the Twitch representative we have hit a dead end and this issue was to be moved here.
My feeling is that my Bungie account is linked to a specific internal identifier for that deleted Twitch account, which can't be recovered by the Twitch support team. It would be helpful to get it so that I can forward it to Twitch and see what we can do. I would really appreciate any kind of support here.
Please let's cooperate on this, I just want to claim the twitch drops that I had already completed (both server slam and launch day)!

Due to mandatory security policy, Bungie is not able to remove connected platform accounts from Bungie.net profiles under any circumstances.

Unfortunately if Twitch is unable to recover the account, it won't be possible to unlink the Twitch account from your profile.
Seeing as I'm getting no-can-do from both sides, is there another way of getting those Twitch drops? Feeling kind of hopeless that it seems like I have to buy *another license of Marathon* on a totally different Bungie account, as well as Steam account (since the unlinking changes @ march 2025), which goes against TOS of Steam and probably Bungie's too
There has to be a solution here, could there be a joint consultation with Bungie & Twitch support to solve this? I can't be the only one.
ive got the game issue what a joke, now i can never get the marathon drops. i got all the drops aswell

The policy explicitly states that Twitch is an exception to the unlinking restrictions, and that the error we receive is impossible to resolve for users with deleted accounts. The Twitch account *no longer exists,* we cannot sign into it in order to authorize the unlink.
Again, please let us find a solution since this problem will only affect more and more; People *will* lose access to their Twitch accounts someday, and this response turns a platform error into permanent account lockout for all future Twitch rewards. We simply won't be able to use the Twitch integration feature again without creating an entirely different Bungie account (which if I play on Steam, goes against TOS).
I don't even care for the Twitch account to be correctly assigned, I want the cosmetic loot which I've spent hours pumping views for Marathon on Twitch. Though an edge case, this situation feels disrespectful as a long-time Bungie player.
At the very least, I'd love to get an account ID or internal ID that the unlinking process is looking for. I'll drag this back to Twitch if needed, but PLEASE try cooperating.
