Stuttering/Frame Drop

While playing thief, I have been experiencing consistent frame drops/stuters specifically when an enemy entered line of sight.

    The first Marathon patch was released today, but the problem wasn't fixed, it wasn't even mentioned at all. We're desperate and waiting for a definitive solution.

    Hello,

    I experienced this today as well while playing Thief.

    • Bungie Account Name - Dessart#8723
    • Platform - Steam
    • Description of Issue - Massive frame stutters when seeing enemy teams while the Thief X-Ray Visor was up. I assume it's some sort of shader compilation stutter.
    • Rough Date and Time of issue - March 15th, 2026 - Around 6 PM ET or so
    • Repro steps - Use the Thief X-Ray Visor and encounter a team of enemy runners, with a clean install and zero shaders.

    I know the second clip cuts too early, but sadly the local recording stopped right there.

    I've encountered the same problem. It took me days to figure out exactly what was happening and find this post. This issue, however, is still not solved.

    I believe it's likely to be AMD related.

    I hope this gets fixed soon, as I imagine many more people are suffering from it and have no clue what's happening.

    • Description of Issue - 1 second or longer stutter/freeze when spotting an enemy with the Thief X-Ray Visor active for the first time in a match.
    • Rough Date and Time of issue - March 22nd, 2026 - 3 AM CEST
    • Repro steps - With the Thief X-Ray Visor active, have an enemy runner in your line of sight. Seems to only happen once per match.
