Ps5 keeps overheating
I will boot the game up and in less than 5 minutes my console crashes and overheats, there is hardly any warmth on the actual console and I do not have this issue with any other game I play just marathon please help

I believe it is only when the runner is on screen in menus, eg home menu, runner select menu and about to ready up menu.
Nope, also when loading into the level
I rebuilt my database and did a huge deep clean like taking the fan out and microfiber cloth everything on the inside and it seemed to fix the issue for now
Made the same post a few hrs ago. For some reason the Main Menu overclocks the fan so it starts sounding like it's going to fly off. Really bizarre considering it ONLY happens in the main menu. Everywhere else no issue.
Similar issue on my PS5. I have external base ventilation and backside 3 fan attachment. Thoroughly cleaned the console and issue still not resolved
I am experiencing this as well. It happened in the server slam and is now happening on the full release. I just played my second game and lost everything because it crashed and I died. I was in north relay fighting the UESC. I have also cleaned my PlayStation and am not experiencing this on other games
Anybody still having this issue after launch? Only game kinda worried might permanently crash ps5?
Yes within the past 24hrs, I've only had the chance to exfil successfully twice out of the five times I'm loading in, the other times the machine beeps three times and turns off. Do I need to only have Marathon on my ps5 while I'm playing it?
Since launch, I have had this happen four times both in menus and in match. I have a base PS5 and have done a deep clean and it still keeps happening. I can play other games for hours with no issues but I can’t play Marathon for more than an hour without this happening. Had at least five people on Reddit report the same.
Have had the same issue. I have 2 PS5's, base disc drive and the revised slim disc version, and both of them turn off while playing Marathon. I haven't been able to complete a match in the game without it my PS5s turning off. I'm able to play other games for a hours on both consoles with no issues at all.
Hey! Ps5 thoroughly cleaned, all games run well, this game on the other hand makes my system super hot! Literally shut off my console over 10x!! No joke. I can’t leave my friends hanging :/ Starting putting fan towards it so it blows the hot air away..barely does the trick. Help! Something is wrong with the power consumption of this game, it demands too much for some reason. A lot of people seem to be experiencing this on Reddit and on here but not enough traction for bungie to really do anything about it. Btw game runs smooth when it does work, but an hour in I’m getting messages from the console
I have the same issue. Abut 1 hour and it just cuts the power doo to overheating. Dos not matter if I am in game or in menus. Happens every time I try to play.
The last patch made it a bit better, but the one yesterday put me straight back into crashing almost every run. I really hope they address this, I am loving this game and am very frustrated at not being able to get through a single run without crashing.
Any update on this being fixed?
