keyboard and mouse for consoles
Hi! First of all, I want to say that the game is looking great. Since it is currently in the final stages of release, I have a request for the development team: please consider adding keyboard and mouse support for Xbox and PlayStation.
Crossplay competition against PC players can feel very unfair when console players are limited to controllers. Please don't make the same mistake as the developers of ARK, where thousands of players asked for this feature but were ignored.
Show the community that you are better and that you actually listen to your players! I believe in you and the success of this project.

Mouse and Keyboard is not officially supported for consoles at the moment. Thank you for your understanding.
They have to add mouse and keyboard on the official game ! Otherwise i can't play against PC is so unfair using a controller against mouse and keyboard... I'm very frustrated have to play with cross play active, since most of my friends play on PC... Do like delta force game is you use mouse and keyboard you have crossplay active Otherwise you just play with controller without crossplay!!
I completely agree—it’s just not fair. PC players have the flexibility of both controller and mouse support. Nowadays, consoles officially support keyboards and mice, and all developers need to do is implement the specific code for the game. I hope you’ll take an active approach to ensuring fair play. The inventory menu for PC controls and console players should have the same input methods
I am an Xbox player who plays exclusively on Keyboard and Mouse. I was hugely disappointed when I saw Marathon doesn’t support this simple feature on consoles, when BF6 and COD do. Guess I’m not buying this game, which looks like so much fun.
+1 for adding keyboard & mouse support to consoles.
I love this game. Please add mouse and keyboard support. It has crossplay, so we are already playing against m&k users. These days PC's are too expensive for alot of people, so it would be nice to have the input option without having to buy a gaming setup to run Marathon. Thank you
The fact bungie is willing to alienate a large percentage of players right of the bat says it all. If they don't implement MnK on console like they already should have for a competitive shooter. I won't be buying it and I have about 10 friends all pissed over the same thing. Oh well thanks for saving me some money Bungie. Plenty of other shooters offering MnK support. Huge L for Bungie yet again.

Not having MnK support for console in 2026 is beyond disappointing.
It’s kind of a joke how few titles these days on console support M&K natively , if it works for PC then really the devs don’t have much of an excuse claiming it takes a lot of extra work . Set the keys the same as PC , kinda simple really . Would love to know how many lost sales lack of M&K support leads to , devs seem to forget the early 50s players today grew up playing doom on a M&K and find a controller clunky and clumsy . Sadly this like a lot of recent titles won’t be on my purchase list simply because of a lack of foresight from the devs
qSenia - I disagree. If the game doesn't natively support M&K then using a XIM is 100000% cheating but if it native then just have it to where you can't turn crossplay off so you are forced to be in the pool of PC and console players.

Hello. Yes, you already have console matchmaking, and you should also add PC support for consoles, but with keyboard and mouse support. That would be very fair, because in matches there are often more PC players.
It’s unfair to play against PC players on console so you have to turn off cross play which results in long wait times to load in a game. If MnK was enabled for console it would make matchmaking fair and wait times would decrease
Pls add mnk support for consoles
Adding one more person to the list asking for MnK support for PS5 - it offers more flexibility for all types and players.

Please don’t make the same mistake you made with Destiny 2.
The thing is, I purchased absolutely everything for Destiny 2 — all expansions, all DLCs, every possible add-on and cosmetic. I basically bought almost everything the developers released. And I did it in advance, hoping that keyboard and mouse support would eventually be added to consoles, so I could finally enjoy the game to its fullest.
The reality is, I didn’t play much because using a controller is simply uncomfortable for me. PvP was even more difficult and frustrating. Destiny’s PvP is very interesting, but unfortunately, not for me.
The money was spent, years went by, and I never saw keyboard and mouse support — and most likely, I never will. So for me personally, the game has just been left unfinished, gathering dust.
As for the new game, Marathon from Bungie, I feel like I may have made the same mistake again. Even knowing that keyboard and mouse support isn’t available at launch, I still pre-ordered it, hoping that this time Bungie would finally add it.
There’s a thought that Destiny 2 is already an old game, and maybe that’s why they didn’t want to update it to meet modern player expectations. So there is still a bit of hope that my expectations will be met this time.
But if not, then this will most likely be my last gesture of trust toward Bungie.

I thought surely they would add MnK for D2 over the years. Are Bungie programmers not capable? They won’t even respond with whether they will or if they’re even able to.
For a developer that claims to support and listen to the game community they seem to be completely ignoring requests for M&K from a large section of it
Judging by the graphs and statistics, the game is losing its player base. Instead of giving players a truly proper and complete crossplay experience, the company is simply splitting players into console and PC groups. This effectively leads to very long matchmaking times when crossplay is disabled.
And even if you enable crossplay, the situation doesn’t improve much — plus the difficulty for controller players going up against PC players increases dramatically. And that’s not even mentioning that the world of Marathon is quite demanding and requires very fast reactions, especially in fights against NPCs and bots.
It all feels like a flawed approach.
I don’t understand why it’s so hard to implement keyboard and mouse support and adjust matchmaking accordingly. For example, if a player is using a keyboard and mouse, they could be placed into lobbies with PC players. Or matchmaking could be tied to whether crossplay is enabled.
For me, it’s not a valid argument that some console players don’t want to play against PC players, and therefore oppose adding this kind of support. Those players already have the option to disable crossplay and deal with longer matchmaking times and slower, more difficult gameplay against similar players.
This whole situation feels absurd. In 2026, we’re still dealing with this.
What’s even more ironic is that Sony has already allowed developers to implement keyboard and mouse support in their games if they choose to do so. And yet Bungie, which is part of Sony, simply refuses to provide it.
It’s honestly quite funny, but at the same time strange — and also disappointing. 🤦
Currently I run a PS5 pro like a pc , mouse and keyboard apart from Home Screen ( even that feels aukward and clunky ) , can easily see myself buying a steam machine in the future unless there is more console games released with M&K native support . I am 50+ and started playing on doom , my disposable income is spent on gaming , won’t buy a game that I can’t play on M&K so haven’t bothered buying ARK raiders , marathon or any of the other big titles that don’t have native support . Often wondered how much money these company’s are missing out on due to lack of foresight
Really hope Bungie is reading these and realizing the mistake they made
