    Hi there.

    Thank you for reaching out.

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your mouse cursor while playing the game. We are aware of some third-party utilities that can introduce this problem. Try closing any screen sharing, screen capture, or screen measurement utilities.

You can also try the following workaround to see if that helps resolve the issue:

    • If you are streaming while playing, could you try streaming the whole screen and not the Marathon game window specifically.
    • If you are not streaming the game while playing, or if the above doesn't work, try disabling the Steam Overlay by clicking Settings → In Game and then toggling off "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game".

  • I had the same issue as well, but was also able to fix it with some OBS tweaks.

    From my Steam discussion post:

I encountered the cursor bug when opening the game and was only able to get rid of it by choosing to play the game in windowed mode rather than fullscreen (try windowed if you are experiencing this bug, even if not recording with OBS or another software).

I have two capture setups in OBS: Gaming and Desktop. The Gaming setup captures any fullscreen window on my main monitor. THIS is what was breaking my cursor functionality in-game. Switching to my Desktop capture allows me to re-enter fullscreen in Marathon without any issues since it just captures my entire screen rather than the window itself.

In short - if you need to capture gameplay but are running into the cursor issue, capture the entire screen, not the window itself! Hopefully this helps someone else out there.
