What Qualifies As Poor Player Behavior
We take any reports of negative player behavior seriously and use them, along with our Code of Conduct, to investigate players and keep our games a safe and fun experience for everyone.
How to Report Player Behavior In-Game
In-Run
- When in a run, you can open the game’s menu.
- On Keyboard/Mouse, press the Esc. key.
- On Controller, press the Menu/Options button in the middle of your controller.
- On the two tabs to the left of the menu, select the Speaker icon.
- Select the player’s nameplate.
- Hit the ‘Report Player’ button.
- Select the appropriate category.
- Press the Submit button.

Only players who have spoken to you in Proximity Chat will show up in this screen (we’re looking to expand and improve our in-run reporting features in the future).
Post Game
- If you didn’t get a chance to report the player yet and the match has ended, open the main menu.
- On Keyboard/Mouse, press the Esc. key
- On Controller, press the Menu/Options button in the middle of your controller.
- Select “Runner Connections” on the bottom-right of your screen — on Keyboard/Mouse, you can also click on "Friends Online."
- On the pop-up menu, select or tab to the clock button on the side tab, to show ‘Recent Players’.
- Select the player’s nameplate.
- Hit the ‘Report Player’ button.
- Select the appropriate category.
- Press the Submit button.
How to Report a Suspected Cheater
Bungie takes the reports of suspected cheating very seriously. We use these reports and our own tools to investigate players who may be manipulating network connections and other forms of cheating or violations of Bungie's Terms of Use.

How to Appeal a Ban
If you have received an in-game ban and feel that you shouldn't have, you can submit a ticket through our Ban Appeal Contact Form. Please include as much information as possible to appeal your case. Our teams are dedicated to investigating all reports.
