Gear loss after “monkey” error code during match

Today, at around 8:00 PM Moscow time, my friends and I were simultaneously disconnected from a match with the “monkey” error code. After that, we were given the option to either wait or return to the lobby, but doing so would cause us to lose all the gear we had found during the match. My two friends immediately returned to the lobby, but I decided to wait, hoping to reconnect. However, after waiting for 25 minutes, the reconnection never happened, so I also had to return to the lobby and lost all of my gear. We had very valuable inventories, worth a combined total of 120,000. Considering the recent wipe, this was extremely valuable gear that we would like to have restored, since the error was clearly not on our end.

    Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We understand you had a run interrupted by error code Monkey. We're sorry to hear of this, as we can imagine the impact of such an issue. Monkey is a general networking error. Bearing this in mind, before you next play you may wish to perform Network Troubleshooting, as that can often help to prevent the recurrence of this error code.

While we're unable to manually return lost loot, we have a system in place that automatically refunds gear lost to a subset of server errors. Please note that this will not cover gameplay losses due to Internet connectivity or client-side problems.

  • Since we are located in three different locations across two different countries, this is clearly a server-side issue. When will your automated system be able to confirm this, and within what timeframe will our gear be restored?
