Linked Twitch account, reset entire account progress
So I recently started playing on steam and using a new bungie account (previously had an xbox account for Destiny 1/2). I wanted to link my twitch account and get the twitch drops. So I did that and the instructions were extremely unclear and did not say that all of my MARATHON IN GAME progress would be erased, now my 35+ hours of marathon are completely gone and I wanted to reset it. Please please please let me know how to remedy this, I don't understand why linking a twitch account necessitates erasing all of this progress. Thank you.

It sounds like you may have selected the wrong account for Cross Save. Unfortunately this selection is permanent, and it isn't possible to change your primary account at this time.
This is honestly unacceptable. It is completely unclear that "account progress" means in-game progress. Is there anything that can be done? I don't even care about my vault and stuff it's the progress on the factions and stuff that is brutal. Please tell me there is something that can make this easier... It's hard to want to keep playing the game when I have to redo everything.
At the very very least please make the prompt more clear so that people know that it's going to wipe your whole bungie account which includes in game progress.
