Game Freezing
After today's update on April 28th. The game has had an issue with freezing for about 15-20 seconds and then run fine for about 2 minutes then repeats. I play on steam. Steps I've taken: Updated GPU Drivers, Verify game files, Restart PC, Uninstall and Reinstall game.
I have a 7900X3d and 4080 Super.

Thanks for the report! If you haven't yet, we recommend updating Windows to the latest version.
If you're still having trouble, please try clearing the download cache between installs of the game using the steps in our guide below:

Please also note that the game is not officially supported on laptop devices, even if those devices otherwise meet the minimum requirements.
I have done all the above steps and after review during boot up and at menu it was sending my GPU to 0% usage during that time. Game has been perfectly fine for 300 hours until this update. What other options should I try?
I have done the following:
Clear Cache
Updated drivers
Fresh install
Reverify files
Reboot and restart x3
Soft reboot
I am also experiencing this issue upon load up of the game and then in menu. Always bricks my PC (Nvidia 3090 GPU, AMD 5900x CPU,32gb DDR4 Ram) and then closes game. This issue hadn't occurred until the most recent update yesterday but has made it so I can't play. Frames drop, audio drops, the entire PC stops working for a couple seconds then back to normal for about 20-30 seconds and repeats until it closes itself out of the game. Uninstalled and reinstalled game, rolled back Nvidia driver, etc etc. Checked to see if I was having connectivity issues but my PC is stating that it's pings are being received by Bungie servers. Seems to be some sort of driver interaction between Nvidia GPU/AMD CPU drivers and Marathon post 4/28 update. I have not been able to get through a run since the update and have played ~200hrs without any issues before this.

If you have another drive available, try moving the game there to rule out potential hardware issues.
Keep in mind that performance tuning is always ongoing! In the meantime, we recommend keeping your GPU drivers and Windows version fully updated.
Also having the same issue and all we have been told has been to update windows and drivers. Nothing is helping and the response times are frustrating.
Okay the game is physically unplayable.
I have done everything for possible to remedy the situation. I have done a fresh reinstall of drivers, the game, battleye, verified files, Uninstall and reinstall the game, reboot PC, ensure all overlays are off. Played additonal games and no issue. This is definitely an issue with the last update. I got a massive error with the time spike error due to this issue. There is something completely wrong with this newest update. I got Cryo to do and need the Goop.
I literally can’t play the game in this state… i’m an actual detriment to my team mates as the freezing is catastrophic in gun fights.
Yeah, there’s an issue with the handshake between my PC and the Bungie servers that keeps randomly severing. I just get a Baboon, Anteater or Grapefruit error each time. It’s definitely something in the update that doesn’t like my pc now but had no issue before. Forced IPv4 DNS which helped a little. Now I can get to the main menu with minimal stutter/no pc brick. I can even load into runs and play smoothly for like 1-3 minutes at a time, then my connection to servers is randomly severed and I get one of the three listed codes. My PC is hard wired via Ethernet. Redownloaded the drivers there and didn’t work. I also have the game on Xbox which is wireless to same router and have no connectivity issue so I know it’s not my problem internet. Game just won’t stay connected to servers on PC. Pretty crazy bug man. I miss my MnK
