Game freezes every minute or so for 5-10 seconds
I play on Steam and ever since the new update on April 28, on start up, my game freezes for 5-10 seconds every minute or so and I have done everything that online guides have suggested. I have cleaned my pc of dust, restarted my computer, reinstalled my drivers for AMD, set Marathon off of CPU 0, verified my game files, ran a malware scan, everything. From what it looks like in my AMD software, the game takes both my GPU clocking speed and power usage to 0 on every freeze, and I have no clue how to replicate it other than just waiting every minute or so in the lobby with 5-10 second freezes.

We understand that, despite extensive troubleshooting, Marathon is freezing for you on Steam. We're sorry to hear of this, as we can imagine how this may have caused concern. Given the troubleshooting you have performed, it does seem strange you're still experiencing this freezing. So we can assess the possible cause of this freezing, could you please provide us with a copy of your DxDiag? You can copy and paste it over on PasteBin and reply with the viewing link.
In addition to the DxDiag, please clarify whether when Marathon freezes, if you need to exit the game. Or is it more that the freezing stutters the game? Once we have these details and the DxDiag, we'll review.
Same with mine. It just keeps freezing and I get disconnected from the game ever since the update.

Also to reiterate, this problem that I have been having has only started after the new update today.

The DxDiag is helpful for investigation. By any chance, when you play Marathon, do you have any overlays such as Discord on? If yes, does disabling those overlays help to address this stuttering you've been seeing? Please let us know.
No, I run no overlays. Turned off steam and discord overlays.
To Add to this post I dont think its a windows problem im running windows 10 and have current driver and experiencing no issues as of now
With multiple people have the same issue off of this new update along with two of my duos, it has to be something with this buggy update interfering with our drivers
100 agree. Nearly 300 hours and this is first time its happened. I've done reinstall,cache clearing, Verify game files, GPU driver updates, checked windows updates, reboots ect. Still happens.
same issue is happening to me, 127 hours of gameplay with no issues, only since this latest patch.
Just lost a 15k kit to it.
Just logged on again today, now it is completely crashing my game with an instant close of the window along with the stuttering beforehand. Seriously I feel like hearing at least something from bungie would be great! This is the only game I play right now and would love to be able to hop on with my friends in between busy schedules.
I just did a complete reinstall of windows after doing everything under the sun.i think I've done everything possible at this point.Definitely something is off with this patch for certain users. I get timed out due to FPS drops, and then it does anteater, ect...
