Allow Marathon to be played on Linux
The kernel level requirement is obviously not enough to stop cheating. Just allow the anticheat to run with Linux compatibility and let players deal with the Proton compatibility layer.
It's silly, and it is actually keeping people from the playing the game. I have a laptop with Windows that I have kept around for compatibility purposes, but I find myself just not playing Marathon a lot of nights because I want to use my desktop.
Give up on the kernel level requirement.

Hi there,
Thank you for the feedback.
If you haven't yet, we recommend posting this to the feedback channel on our official Discord as well for the best visibility.
Hi, popping in to second this. I am unable to play this game due to the fact that I have Linux on my desktop system. I would like to be able to play with my partner who just purchased the game, but until that is possible I won't be purchasing it for myself.
Ahoy, I'm poping too,
if this game become playable on linux, there is a big probability I play it too, I have Linux everywhere, laptop, desktop etc,
I already play during the Open Beta before the launch on windows, with a friends, and this game is amazing, I hope I can play on my linux too
It is honestly silly and hypocritical to abstain from flipping the switch on proton compatibility through battle-eye when you host the game cross platform with compromised consoles that don't have to run any anti-cheat anyways. Enable play on Linux, you'll have my money.
id love to see the enabling of the abillity to play linux on battleye as well
