Rook run items disappearing from overflow

I saw a similar thread, I came from a rook run and had items in overflow, I wanted to equip a weapon from my vault into my loadout to strip its mods, so I swap to thief and then when I went to my vault it had no overflow items, they disappeared. I dont really care about loot refund, but im mortally terrified of it happening to something good I get from a run
