Severe FPS drops on Outpost/Dire Marsh and faction rewards not claimable after Update 1.1.5
Since the mid-season 2 update (1.1.5, July 21) went live, I’m experiencing severe and consistent performance issues that were not present before the patch.
Issue 1 - FPS drops:
I mainly play on Outpost and Dire Marsh, not Cryo Archive (which is more visually detailed, so some drop there would be understandable). Before the update these two maps ran at a stable 40 FPS for me. Since the update, I’m getting 25-28 FPS on these same maps, even with the lowest graphics preset (textures, shadows, environment detail, and character detail all set to lowest/low). Since the drop is happening on the less demanding maps and settings changes don’t help, it seems like something changed on the CPU/engine side with this patch rather than a GPU/graphics issue. I’m also seeing reports from other players on current-gen consoles (PS5/Xbox Series X|S) experiencing similar lag and frame drops since this update, so this doesn’t seem to be an isolated PC hardware issue.
Issue 2 - Faction rewards not claimable:
Additionally, I’m unable to claim faction rewards since the update. The rewards appear to be earned but the claim action does not work / rewards are not delivered.
I checked the official Known Issues List for Update 1.1.5, and neither of these two issues is listed there, so I wanted to flag them directly in case they haven’t been caught yet.
Could you please look into whether this patch introduced a performance regression, and also check the faction rewards claim bug? Given that this is affecting both PC and console players, it seems like a broader issue tied to the July 21 update rather than individual hardware.

Platform: PC

Nvidia Frame Generation: I'm not using it - it's set to Off in my video settings, so that's not a factor here.

Hello, i have exactly same issue with fps DROPS.
Stable 38-50fps before update and now, lags, drops to 25 ....

Hello, I was looking exactly for this topic.

Since update 1.1.5, July 21, I am experiencing the same issues, except I used Nvidia Frame Generation and Nvidia DLSS with stable 120 fps lowest 90 in cryo.
Frame generation now lowers FPS instead of raising it, with consistent results down to 40 fps lowest in cryo.
I played with DLSS features and Frame generation options. did all combinations like switching to Intel Frame Generation from Nvidia, nothing works.
Turning off Frame Generation improves it a bit, lowest fps is around 50 in cryo, but with stutters.
For now only Perimeter is playable for me but even there I experience stutter.
Also I asked random fill teammates and everyone consistently reports lowered FPS overall.
I am deeply in love with this game and I am sad that I can't enjoy it at the moment because of this issue, hopefully I was concise enough and it gets fixed soon. Marathon is my first Bungie game and I am rooting for you guys.
