Solo Glitch thoughts
Unlike many, I don't get angry with a company when things don't work, or a release is late, etc. I try to remember that people make things, & I'm rarely at my best, especially under pressure, & that I should try to treat people, even strangers, the way I'd like to be treated. I was sad to hear the news for Destiny, but I love Marathon, the 1st of its genre I've played, & since I almost always play Solo, there's been a lot to learn & adapt to.
This new menu glitch, which won't allow players to play Solo, started immediately, & while I don't know anything about making games or managing them, I'm a bit surprised that it hasn't been fixed yet. But, as I said, being angry about it won't help, & being outraged at whoever might read this & respond just would make that person's life harder.
I do have some experience managing, largely in food service or maintenance, & whether its a single mom in an apt with an issue that is making her life harder, or someone in a nursing home who doesn't understand why something is happening, or someone having dinner with someone who is annoyed with how long the food is taking, people will generally understand if they have a better sense of what the issue is, how long it may take to fix it, & most importantly, that someone hears them & is aware that they are upset.
With that in mind, I'd glad to see that someone seems to be responding to complaints or questions, but I don't like that I need to search for that instead of seeing updates somewhere. Unless I'm missing things, as far as I can tell, there hasn't been any real updates beyond being aware of the problem, the expectation that a fix may take a bit of down time, & that we'll hear when that is happening. Personally, I'd be stopping by the mom's apt, to update them. Or the old woman, or the person in my resturant to eat.
And I know the general public is often outraged & rabid & way too self centered about everything. But it can be much easier to accept that & manage it with updates, than to let it stew until there is a definite fix.

Hello there,
Thank you for your feedback.
The solo issue itself is real, not just people misunderstanding the menu. Solo matchmaking is intended to work by launching as a one-player crew with Crew Fill disabled, and solo players are supposed to match only other solo crews.
There was also a severe Season 2 bug in the Canoe/Crew Fill flow where solo selections could end up in the wrong state, including cases where Perimeter Beginner Solo had Crew Fill on by default, players could not toggle it off, and matchmaking would fail or sit until timeout. A separate Crew Fill state bug was also tracked around mode swapping and saved preferences not being remembered correctly.
When a bug directly blocks a major way people play, “we’re aware” only goes so far. Even if there is no immediate ETA, more visible status updates would make it easier for players to understand what is broken, whether it is being actively worked, and whether a fix is expected to require downtime.
The frustration is understandable, the solo glitch has been a real tracked issue, and the request for clearer communication is reasonable.
