H.I.D. and Bluetooth devices causing crashes
My friend has been having a issue with Battleye on launch. Every time they try to launch the game, they get these two blocks on startup and then it reports a crash from Battleye:
Blocked loading of file: "C:\Windows\System32\hid.dll".
Blocked loading of file: "C:\Windows\System32\bthprops.cpl".
After some testing around we were able to remove the HID error temporarily by disconnecting their Scarlett 2i2. However, even after fully disabling Bluetooth on their device, we couldn't get the "bthprops" error to go away.
If I could get some help with this issue it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
Thanks for the report.
This looks like BattlEye is conflicting with another device or background program during launch.
Please have your friend try these steps:
Fully close overlay or device-related apps before launching the game.
Examples: MSI Afterburner / RivaTuner, Discord overlay or screen share, Nahimic, RGB tools, audio utilities, and Bluetooth/device managers.
Disconnect non-essential devices and test again.
Since unplugging the Scarlett 2i2 changed the error, try launching with only basic mouse/keyboard connected.
Restart the PC, then run Steam and the game once as Administrator.
Verify the game files in Steam.
Do not delete or replace Windows files like hid.dll or bthprops.cpl.
If the game still crashes after that, please have your friend contact us with the following info:
Whether the game still crashes with overlays closed and the Scarlett disconnected
