Lockdown impacts weather on Dire Marsh drastically

I was at bio-research in thick fog, about 90m visibility and the lockdown event started. Immediately the draw distance unveiled the entire field of vision. I could see all the way to the other side of the map and all the weather had vanished. It did not impact my gameplay other than hiding in the fog north of bio-research but seemed jarring, unless that is the point
