Final extract bug? Cancels other extracts?

I was extracting at a guarded Xfil on Outpost right before the final exfil notification. I called it, the enemies arrived and then the extract disappeared. I was killed by the enemies that arrived as as the final extract that spawned was across the map. Is it supposed to cancel out all other active extracts? Very frustrating if so we basically have to wait till the last second but nothing in game tells you that
