Single inputs registering as double, triple
Pressing the spacebar once when I'm playing Destroyer results in boosting as soon as my feet leave the ground. Pressing the Esc button to back out of looting opens the main menu. Pressing the crouch key registers as a double tap and immediately returns me to standing position. Etcetera. Happens pretty much constantly with whatever key I press, making the game unplayable.
Additionally, I am experiencing a large degree of lag and sluggishness in menus. It doesn't seem related but I bring it up because everyone else I've seen who has reported this kind of input issue in the past, has also reported this.
I didn't have this problem last I played on the 22nd of June, now all of a sudden it's like this. The only change to my system since then that I can think of is my use of RBTray.exe, a program that allows me to force-minimize applications. BattlEye doesn't seem to like this program and blocks its associated .dll when I launch the game, but I don't see why this would be the cause of the problem.

Hello there,
Thanks for the detailed report.
What you’re describing lines up very closely with an already reported PC issue: delayed or doubled mouse-and-keyboard inputs, ghost key presses, and sluggish menus that get worse over time, while controller input can seem normal. There is also a known duplicate-input bug where single key presses can behave like press-and-release twice, including examples like tapping Esc once and having the menu immediately open and close again.
The likely cause here is not your keyboard itself, but a third-party program trying to inject a DLL into Marathon. Internal investigation on this issue says that blocked DLL injection can cause duplicate mouse/keyboard inputs, blocked mouse input, cursor pauses, and general UI-layer slowdown. Known examples include Discord when streaming the game window, OBS recording the game window, cybercafe overlays, and window-management utilities like sizer.exe.
So yes: if RBTray is injecting or BattlEye is blocking its DLL when Marathon launches, that absolutely sounds like a plausible trigger for this exact family of bugs. The timing you gave also matches another recent live report where the problem started around late June after previously working normally.
