Thanks for getting in touch.
To clarify how Ranked end-of-season rewards work: the emblem reward is tied to the highest Rank I tier earned, so the Platinum emblem is awarded for reaching Platinum I rather than Platinum III.
If your highest rank this season was Platinum III, then receiving the Gold emblem would be intended.
