Pressing [shift] locks WASD movement

A friend of mine has an issue when pressing [SHIFT] to sprint. After pressing the key, his WASD movement will be completely locked. He can still jump, open the inventory, open the menu, drop items, pick up items, shoot, but he can't move. It only happens after pressing [SHIFT] and it will not come back to normal unless he resets his game.

We have tried :
- Chaning from full screen to borderless
- Opening the game in admin mode
- Updating all available drivers
- Disabling the steam overlay and other third party overlays

This bug appeared on tuesday after the update.

    Description of Issue : When starting the match, if the player presses [shift] at any point during the loading screen or during the game, the WASD movement is completely locked. The shift key cannot be pressed again to unlock the movement nor to open the steam overlay for example. The only solution is to restart the game but it only fixes it as long as shift is not pressed. While locked, the player can still shoot, aim, open the inventory, move the camera, interact with objects, etc.
    Rough Date : April 28th to 29th, after the latest patch.
    Repro Steps : Start a match (any map and any class) and press shift once. The movement is now locked permanently until a complete game restart.
