Persistent issue since 3/31 - stuck at signing in screen
My stuck at signing in screen persists after several weeks. I've had some luck during this time by restarting my computer, clearing the steam cache, and activating a VPN, but now that trick is not working now. This is very frustrating, I am a long time Bungie fan and love the game, but cannot play it. Several other people are posting about this regularly, and no solutions provided to date are resolving it for anyone that I've seen. Please Bungie, put all available engineering resources into fixing this issue. This has gone on too long and is clearly affecting a decent number of players.

We are aware of situations where players can become stuck on the sign in screen.
We are currently investigating these situations.
Try the “hard reset” of your Steam install
These steps are from the internal Marathon Steam Beta User Setup troubleshooting section and help if your local build or security state is bad.
In Steam, right-click Marathon → Properties → Local Files → Browse….
In the file explorer window that opens, delete everything inside the Marathon folder.
Go back to the Local Files tab and click “Verify integrity of game files…”.
Let Steam fully re-download the game, then try launching again.
If that doesn’t help, you can also try a full uninstall from Steam, then reinstall (same idea as above but more thorough).
