Do graphics settings even matter or change something ?

Before i start arguing on optimization, there is my PC specs :

AMD Ryzen 5 3600, NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super with 8GB VRAM GDDR6, 16GB RAM DDR5 at 3200 MHZ, game installed on an M2 and Win 11

So as you can see, not the most fresh config (5 years old PC), but powerful enough the hit average 120FPS on latest Black Ops 7 at medium and DLSS Quality with Transformer method for example.

What's concerning here, is that after numerous testing by changing resolution scaling AND internal scaling, swapping with all the DLSS modes and adjusting known demanding graphics settings across games (occlusion, shadows, vegetation physics...), i have noticed that all of this have a pointless to mostly none of an impact on performance (i have an average of 60 to 70FPS on Marathon).

The most curious setting of them all is resolution scaling and internal resolution where, changing to a 100% to 33% scaling resolution or swapping to a 1080P resolution to 720P resolution have ZERO gain on FPS where it should be the most impactful settings.

My question here is, is the settings works as intended, and is the game will be optimized enough for the release this Tuesday ?

Im not gonna lie this is my main concern about this game and why it's holding me back from purschasing Marathon as today. Playing a "competitive" game at 60FPS in 2026 is just not possible.

Still, i wish the best for dev team !

P.S.: English is not my language so sorry for the potential grammatical and orthography errors.
