Loud audio sound effect when crouch-walking/sneaking

  • Description of Issue - Location is the large building in Maintenance on Dire Marsh, on the mezzanine/2nd floor indoors. When crouch-walking/sneaking against some objects on the ground and the slanted wall/ceiling there is a loud sound effect, like the one you get when landing on the ground after jumping or something.
  • Rough Date and Time of issue - Feb 27th, 11:00-11:30am EST
  • Repro steps - Crouch-walking/sneaking against some objects on the ground and against/into the slanted wall.

    I was just gonna make a post about this.

    Like the original message said, it's a loud sound that almost seems like you fell from a considerable height. Not sure if this issue is local or if other players also hear the loud sound effect.

    I wanna say I've experienced this after mantling, but the most common occurrence is indeed when sneaking while crouched and walk across two surfaces that have slightly different heights.

    “I’ve encountered the same situation.
    It doesn’t happen during normal walking, but when crouch‑moving over small floor decorations or similar objects, the issue occurs.
    Other players seem to be able to hear this sound, and there was a time when my position was pinpointed right after the phenomenon happened, which completely ruined the match. (Though it’s possible they found me for another reason…)

    I’d first like to know whether this sound is actually audible to other players.

    it happens to me occasionally too
    sometimes it even triggers when i'm walking along a wall, especially if the latter has some kind of slope at the bottom. here's a video to demonstrate
